So I'm a day late, we were busy yesterday. Driving, present opening, feasting and more driving.
We went to my sister and niece's for Christmas day to enjoy each others company with positive attitudes. This is my sister who lost her husband in October so we all had to agree to bring positive attitudes with us. We complied. Our gang included my Mom, cousin and 2 of my sister's co-workers, one with her 2 year old in tow.
We had a delightful time opening presents, watching a friend's 2 year old open presents with delightful abandon and feasting on our first dungeness crab of the season. YUM
Yes I'm still here just been busying getting off one of my psych drugs at my family doctor's request. Trust me, NEVER go off Klonipin cold turkey. It's a lovely walk through hell. One of the side effects of withdrawal is muscle aches and do they ever. It's been 2 weeks now, my back and shoulders are still in painful knots. Another is not sleeping, again for 2 weeks but bless her soul Laurie ( my new FP doc who is replacing Amy, sigh) gave me some sleeping pills. The entire world looks better after aa few good nights sleep!
Other than that I've been keeping busy with my knitting, watching the beloved 49ers win their division and getting ready for Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas a merry one to all of you, happy holidays and I'll see you soon
Christmas is all about giving or at least it should be. It doesn't matter how big or how small it's the giving that counts, something that will make your loved one shout out with joy is the point.
I've been having a blast on esty.com tonight doing a big part of my Christmas shopping. Also a shout out to Uncommon goods while we're at it. I still need something for the dog as big as a pony and the cats the size of the pony's head lol
Can you imagine being a Republican voter these days? Poor people what with Herman Cain self-imploding, Rick Perry who doesn't know the voting age OR the date of the election, self-aggrandizing Newt Gingrich and Mitt, well Mitt leaves me speechless.
Now I'm the first to admit that I haven't exactly been thrilled with Obama's performance but you must admit he's been hamstrung by the Republicans in Congress who's only legislative goal is to make Obama a one term president. Still I'm going to vote for Obama again because the Repubs just plain scare the hell out of me.
Oh I forgot about Michelle who told a gradeschool child that gays CAN get married they just have to marry a woman. Ummmm, a little close to home there?
In a not so stunning statement of non-responsibility Herman Cain suspended his race for President today. Nice trick suspending his bid allows him to still raise money to retire his debt. BUT, it's not because of all the sexual harassment and supposed affair that is causing him to withdrawal but the media covering said actions.
Right, people have not noticed his total lack of ability for the job, the numerous gaffs and displays of down right ignorance - Libya is just one instance that comes to mind.
So that leaves us with Romney who no one likes and Gingrich who is a complete hypocrite.
