We have so much to be grateful for yet everyday people complain, me included, about what they're lacking.
There are a string of websites I click on every day because someone out there is doing something good for someone besides themselves and all it takes in a simple click to help change the world.
http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=2 of course. I was so lucky, mean was found early or I'd be dead my now.
The site brings several other sites as well for which I am very grateful.
Hunger - while we throw perfectly good food away because of spots or the can is dented, people are starving.
Child health - our future caretakers are not being taken care of themselves for a number of reasons, they fall through the cracks of their states medical program, their parents can't afford insurance, they don't know about their states medical programs.
Literacy - a big one in my book (excuse the pun). Literary opens to door to the world without books that portray the facts correctly, yes State of Virginia I'm looking directly at you, we remain ignorant, uninformed and without imagination
Rainforest - every year more acres of this beautiful living forest is being plowed under for crops or cut down for wood. Do you know researchers are hoping to find cures for many illnesses hidden in theses tropical gems?
Animal Welfare - they ask so little of us and in return give us unconditional love. Then there are people like Michael Vick, people that starve their animals, people that dump them figuring they'll be able to take care of themselves ( they won't).
So these are the some of the things I'm grateful for every day. 6 little clicks that help change the world.
