Most people don't realize that a lot of depression is biochemical, thus literally all in your head.
Most people also have the good sense to get themselves a Dr. Sanity and a Dr. Drug when they start on their journey through breast cancer... guess who didn't.
As a result I'm taking 4 anti-anxiety/anti-depressant drugs A DAY plus 2 for my allergy, 1 for my blood pressure, calcium and vitamin D as ordered by Amy.
Invariably when it comes time to fill the box there is a cat hanging around to "help".
The ritual comes in when I start to fill the box. By now I can recognize the drugs by their size and color which are varied and many. I start with 1 bottle, fill the proper hole and move on to the next bottle, rinse and repeat. The fun starts when Emme sits on the nightstand and methodically knocks the bottles off or Ted tries to put his paw in one of the holes to fish whatever I just put in there out or Sophie decides that this is a perfect time to sprawl across the box. Or even better someone puts their weight on the slides of the box and dumps everything out. Oh how I look forward to the pill box ritual that little game that keeps the cats happy.
