Your cancer is back...
NO NOT MINE, THANK HEAVENS.
But Amy Rauch Neilson's. I stole this from MFAMama because she writes it better than I can. I can't seem to get the link to Amy's blog so go visit MFAMama who does have a working link. Amy needs all the support she can get.
" I just found a new blog to read, and for the first time EVER subscribed to a blog via e-mail (I'm a feed-reader kind of girl, but it's for a good cause):
Figure One: This lady can write!
Amy Rauch Neilson is in the process of writing a memoir that promises to be an amazing piece of creative non-fiction, the story of the BRCA gene and its effect on four generations of women in her family. She has an agent, and now she needs a publisher; to get a publisher, she has to prove that she (as the writer of this amazing story--I seriously think this could be the next The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks) has a platform.
Amy is trying to get 5,000 (the number her agent threw at her) subscribers by March 3rd, which would have been her four-year cancer-free date. Unfortunately, about three weeks ago Amy got the news that her cancer was back, but she wants to get this story out there and I really want to read it, so I subscribed. You should, too! Because that would put Amy one subscriber closer to her goal and give you another awesome blog to read. I told you it was win-win! Just click the artwork (which was done by Amy's neice!) to get to her site and type your e-mail address into the box in the upper-left sidebar. Please?"
