Free Wi-Fi which is really nice when you once again have no power at home. MUST CHARGE MY KINDLE! Very interesting place to hang, Ran into a friend also powerless working on her book, apparently her editor is knocking on her door. If you want a really good read check out her book "Into the Forest" by Jean Hegland. It will scare the hell out of you if you're worried about the future.
Other wise it's a cool place to overhear conversations. A group of 70 something men came in and where talking about Rachel Maddow - What? But then again it is Healdsburg, liberal bastion of the North County.
Job interview in the corner behind be. College kids on Spring break talking about upcoming formal dances in their OMG twitter short hand. Am I the only person in the world that doesn't speak twitter? It took me 2 days to figure out IMHO meant in my humble opinion.
#, @ what does it all mean and do I really care?
Why is it taking so fricking long for my Kindle to charge? Must get back to book... OMG nothing worse than book withdrawal.
It other things the water project is moving along the tank is being power washed (gas) as we speak, next step is refill the tank, shock the system, let it sit for a day, open every tap on the property, drain the tank, refill and retest. Wow. At some point in the process a UV filter will be installed so we don't have to use chlorine on a regular basis.
Dropped our water consultant, looking for a new one. Larry specifically said "we don't want to use chlorine on a regular basis" several times. Funny the bid came back for a chlorine based system... Duh.
Larry continues to float on pain pills which is good it keeps him from doing much so maybe his rib will have a chance to heal before he does something else to his body. I swear one of these days I'm going to duct tape him to his chair.
Now the 70 somethings are discussing WWII. I'm tempted to go join their conversation. One of my uncles was killed, my dad lied about his age to get in when he was 16. He ended up serving in submarines including the silent running in the Sea of Japan. For years he would never talk about it, finally as my sisters and I got older we were able to drag some information out of him but not much before he died. He was only 51. Wow I'm 7 years older than my Dad was when he died!
