Books into movies
Not always a good thing. Last night we watch Kite Runner. It was very well done but lacked the depth and intensity of the book. The book was just wonderful, very descriptive and your imagination was put to good use. Not so much in the move.
Jurassic Park was a wondeful terrifing book. SHOULD. HAVE. STAYED. A. BOOK. Even with computer graphics it was no match for my imagination.
I generally stay away from movies if I've read the book. I almost always end up disappointed. And I've been known to go buy the book after seeing a movie because there clearly had to be more to the story than was protrayed on the screen.
